On another note... I got brand new rear seat kit for 100$! (no mounting hardware though but luckily ace hardware is right around the corner). It was a Display model so im getting an awesome deal on it

Nice build I really like the color. I think that's the same lift I just ordered is it 6 in or 8?

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ions-pics.html If it's the radio, you're going to need some type of sound deadener behind the speakers and tightening up the gaps between the console and roof wouldn't be a bad idea either. If it's the console it's self squeaking against the top, get some vaccuume hose from your local auto parts store that is big enough to cover the edges (but not too big that it'll slide off or look bad) and long enough to go completely around the perimiter of the console, split it down the middle lengthwise, and slide it over the edge of the console. It'll act like a trim gasket once everything is tightened up properly and the squeak will go away. DO NOT USE DOOR EDGE TRIM GUARDS FOR THIS!! It is too hard for this type of application and will add more squeaks and noise to the roof! Hope this helps, -Scott H. |

Awesome! Thanks for the info scott! Although, my top is quiet as far as driving goes. Its the speakers making it flex is the rattling. I can press down on the top and it stops. My next issue is, I gotta figure out how to mount that console better in the center cause the weight of the deck makes it bounce on rough terrains. May have to get small "L" brackets and rivet them in but bolt them to the top to bring the center of it up. I think that may fix it that.
As of now heres where I stand... I had to do some 5 min engineering on the rear roof mounts but it will work till I have a chance at work to fabricate something cleaner. |
