2002 club car ds 48v solenoid not working
I have a 2002 48v club car regen (it has the tow switch). I have a 500 amp controller, a DandD high torque motor, a 400 amp HD solenoid, 6 brand new 8v batteries and 4ga wires through out . Here is my problem, All was working fine until last week when I put on my rear seat, after I put on the seat the cart would not move, although I was working on nothing electrical I did put the cart in the tow position. The solenoid would not click when the cart was rolled or when the pedal was pressed . I put on the old solenoid and the cart worked fine. Since the HD solenoid was only a couple of weeks old I thought I might have had a loose connection somewhere....anyway I hooked up the HD solenoid again and the cart ran fine??????. Now a week later it is doing the same thing. The cart will not move, solenoid will not click when rolled or the pedal is pressed. The resistor on the solenoid seems to be warm when the cart is in the tow position but not when in the run position. Could the ignition switch be bad???? Thanks for any help

Re: 2002 club car ds 48v solenoid not working
Update: I broke the circuit by taking the positive battery cable off(while it was in tow) I then hooked the cable back up, runs fine..I assume that is why it started running last week when I put the old solenoid on. Any suggestions???? Thanks.

yes, the ignition or any of the micro switches at the F&R or in the V-glide could create a faulty solenoid activation situation.
