Default 95 Electric Club Car 48 V

Hey all,

I am fairly new to this site and I have some questions how to make my 1995 48V electric golf cart go faster up and down hills. It is the standard forest green and has been garage kept. I have replaced all batteries in June 11 and going up hills is very painful ride as it being slow. (these are not steep hills btw) and it really being rode around a campground in VA. I have not made any modifications to this cart w/exception of adding lights and the flip down seat/cargo area.

And I am not you all get these questions all the time also so I am sorry for asking the repetetive question here.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rich

Hey Rich, If you are looking for cheap find a 36 volt club car motor and put it in, the cart will gain 30% torque and speed. I think you will be happy.
If you can't find or don't want used hit me up via PM or email and I will get you a new one. Scotty

ScottyB,

Would I have to do anything to the On board computer other than take out a battery to make it 36V?

Thanks,
Rich

NO, no, no ...... The cart remains a 48 volt drive system, The OBC remains intact. Nothing changes EXCEPT you swap the motor out with the 36v unit. The 36v motor produces 33% more torque and speed on 48 volts.
I hope this clears up my earlier post.

Enjoy the ride!
