I want to use 15" car wheels

I want to use 15"car wheels on my cart they are a universal 4x100/4x114.3 with an offset of +40 will these bolt right on or will I have to buy spacers or adapters Help please

Well, as an example, I'm running Mazda Miata rims from the early cars (90 thru 93), they are 14", total diameter of 22.5", with 38mm offset.

The 4 x 100/4x114.3 will be fine. However...

There is more to rim fitment than just bolt pattern. The large hubs on the front of a Club Car won't fit the smaller inner diameter of most Japanese wheels. I used a friggin' big hole saw to enlarge these....

Additionally, my rims would not fit without a minimum of 1/2" offset. The rubber would drag against the inner body and leaf springs. This tire size also needed a 3" lift...

Further, the cart was incredibly tippy until the offset was beyond 1". Honestly, I'd like to space it out even further. I plan to do this, once I determine just how wide I can go, and still get the wheels to fit into the bed of a pickup truck...

There are adaptor manufactures that will create wheel adaptors to fit any pattern you are looking for, since most non factory rim and tire combos' will require an offset or spacer to operate correctly.

Your question has essentially been answered. No you cant bolt them right on and yes you will need spacers and adapters.

How wide are the rims? I am putting new rims on my truck and am having tO go with a negative offset to push the wheels out slightly to handle the bigger tires. So if you have a positive offset and it is 40mm, that probably isnt good either without some serious spacers.

The 4x100 lug pattern will work.

But as said, the hub diameter may not. The offset you can use, but depending on your cart and what tire size you plan on running, could require spacing.
Remember anytime you are customizing or using aftermarket parts some fitment trial and error is going to happen.

I ran Ford truck rims, with 33" tires, on a Club Car I built, using adapters I had made, so anything is possible.

Jeez, I thought I did!

The 4x100 bolt pattern will work. So you don't need adapters.

The 40mm offset will not. So you will need spacers. Otherwise your tire will rub your frame.

The 15" rim will probably give you a 23" height tire. So you will need a lift kit. Otherwise your tire will contact your fender when the suspension compresses.

The center hubs on Club Cars are big. So you need to choose rims that will accommodate those large hubs. Or, you will need to modify the center hole on at least the front two rims.



An alternative? Jack the cart up, pull a wheel, and try it. You should be able to figure it out fairly quickly, like the rest of us did....

This may be why most people go with those pre-packaged kits. No need to solve the lift/tire/rim issues. The hard part has been done for you. Costs more, though!

Unless you have the tires that will fit already, by the time you get the spacers, deal with or even pay for custom machining work that will need to be done, and buy the tires themselves, I bet you'd find that a wheel/tire package that just bolts right on is not a bad deal, comparitively. I got mine for less than $600 shipped to my door and it included everything I needed - tires already mounted with valve stems, center caps, and lug nuts. Tires to fit 15" rims that will also fit on the cart are probably not going to be super cheap.
