1972 Cushman Golf Cart Suddenly Stopped
Had a lot of issues with my Dad's cart this summer and after replacing the solenoid (it melted), the main bus bar for the throttle/speed controller (looked like it was trying to melt), new charging plug( it disintegrated while trying to clean the contacts), new wires from it to the battery, plus just taking apart as many electrical connections to make sure they were clean and in good shape, PLUS working on the charger to make sure it was putting out out 36 volts, finally got his cart running again without out dying ten minutes later.
So after a month of running fine, it suddenly died the other day; as in it was like you reached down and turned off the key. Towed it up to the shed, checked the batteries, there still fully charged. I have power to the solenoid, power going to the speed controller but when you step on the pedal, no power goes out from there. Suggestions? |
