Default Let me get this straight, Brother in law and I disagree

From what I have read and understand, in a 48 volt system, you could have one bad cell and nothing will happen? no lights no go nothing? Is this oversimplifying it? My brother in law says ( and he has never been on this board and is going on his information from a friend that owns one cart, not half kazillion like you guys)

Yes, it is possible. It would require a finite set of circumstances, wiring configurations, and equipment. But, it's a debate that has no winner. A down cart is a down cart. Fix it, and move on.

That depends on what kind of "bad cell" it is. If its a dead shorted cell then you got problems, usually an exploding battery. If its just your common everyday bad cell it wont disable everything. Usually a bad cell will cause short run times, battery imbalance issues and the charger to not shut off. He's only half right. It "could" happen.

Doesn't have to be 48 volts...it can be any voltage.
