Smile g16 motor choices

Hello! I have a 2001 G16,that I have had the controller upgraded to 400amp,I have installed 4ga.cables,I have installed 8volt batterys and I was wondering if there are any motor gurus out there that could recomend what the best motor would be to buy that would give me the most torque? A guy at Nivel recomended a D398 so I ordered one and that is not what I want. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe

I just installed a D&D 10:2 Torque motor in my lifted G16E today

Should have it wired up tomorrow

BTW, did you install all new 8 volt batts?

Thanx for the welcome, Rusty

Joe, I wired her up yesterday and she actually felt faster and more powerful on the half dead batteries (haven't been charged since November) than she ever did on the old motor

After an overnight charge, I got her up to 17.6mph on the GPS (12.5mph on the stock motor)

I wasn't expecting a speed increase since it's a torque motor, but I'm not complaining

Here are some install pix:

Getting it past the shock took a bit of finagling, but there aren't any clearance issues, even at full flex...
