Solenoid diode on an 01 txt w pds
Greetings. Is a 2001 txt w/ pds and the 1206 mx controller supposed to have a diode on the solenoid control wires? I've read mention of them but my txt doesn't have one and there is not one shown on the wiring diagram I have. They want to put a new 350a 1206 mx back in. Just wanted to be sure I hadn't missed something. Thanks, M.C.

The PDS (1206MX ) controller feeds both B+ (Yellow wire) and B- (Blue wire) to solenoid's coil and apparently has a built in spike suppression circuit, but adding a diode to the solenoid's coil terminals certainly won't hurt and might help.
