Default 48volt QE charger wattage usage

Does anyone know how many watts a 48v QE charger pulls from 120V AC source? Its the small solid state grey one with all the heat sink fins on it. I am thinking about buying a small 1000watt generator just in case I ever get my 48v 2011 RXV stuck in the woods on my awesome trail rides. I have a large 9000 watt generator but that basTa*d weighs aprox 300lbs and I don't feel like dragging that thing thru the hilly terrain in the woods. anyone ever had any experiences like this before?

My 48 volt DPI is rated at 11 amps, which would be 1320 VA. Your charger may be less, as mine is a beast coil and core charger.

FWIW: I tried running my 48 Volt charger from my Honda EU1000i inverter genset and it didn't work, the genny cut out on overload.

If you can reduce the charge rate initially, until the batteries begin to come up in voltage, the Honda will handle the reduced load. With my old 36 volt cart, I could charge for a while with a larger genny, then switch to the Honda to finish it off.

I was going to use a resistor coil from an old cart in series with the charger for the initial charge, then short it out so the charger could finish it off. I'm pretty sure it would work, but have no need to try it anymore.
