rattling noise when first pressing gas pedal
I have a 2006 electric EZGO. it was rebuilt with lift by someone. a couple of weeks back it had loud rattling noise in the back whenever i first accelerate (from a stop) or stop. we then found out a shock in the back was detached. the person who built the cart came and fixed that. but shortly afterwards i now have a rattling noise from the front of the cart. it happens when i first press the gas pedal from a stop or near stopping point. if i press the gas pedal harder to make the cart start off faster, the noise stops soon. if i press the gas pedal lightly and go slow, the noise will be there for a much longer time. the cart also makes similar noise when i stop. it is not as bad as two weeks ago when the back shock was off.
do i need to be concerned? anything wrong with the motor? the builder checked the cart and couldn't find any loose parts. could there be something wrong with the motor or batteries? thanks! |

Hmm. This is sort of a guessing game. Are the lug nuts falling off? Are the front shocks attached? Are you positive the noise is from the front? (Motor & transaxle stuff is all in the back).

Re: rattling noise when first pressing gas pedal
about the only thing that's in your front end that could "rattle" would be the shock.....if in fact its an actual rattle. and the only other thing up there is the wheel or the steering mechanism. Jack up your cart (front end) and take ahold of each wheel at the 12 and 6 o'clock position and see if it feels loose. it shouldn't be......feel the tie rods....pull/push on them....do you feel any slop??
