Default Won't start when cold.

My 2003 TXT has always (since I bought it in 2005) had an issue starting when the ambient temperature is below about 50 degrees. It has 785 hours on the hour meter. Once it starts, it runs great. Even in the summer, it's hard to start after sitting overnight. Over the past 6 months, I have replaced the: pulsar coil, main coil, ignitor, spark plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, carburetor, and battery. The valves are lashed properly and compression is great. Plenty of fuel is always visible in the fuel filter.

Now that it is winter, the ONLY way it will start is to remove the air filter and spray starter fluid into the carburetor. Suggestions greatly appreciated!

If you're getting fuel and spark, it sounds like a choke problem.
Check choke and make sure it's working properly.
You might wanna try a hotter spark plug.

I found that by holding the peddle to the floor with the choke out for the first 10 or 15 seconds of cranking, then slowly raising the peddle to almost an idle they start, had a couple 295s like that when cold.
