Default Voltage reducer questions???

Finally I've painted the CC DS body. I'm proceeding with the wiring. I planned on using a voltage reducer that I've already purchased, but I'm having second thoughts. How do you maintain the radio's memory? I don't want to leave the reducer on all the time because I know they're is a parasitic drain on the battery with them depending on their efficiency. I found the ones with memory output on ScottyB's site but it's price is comparable to an AGM auxiliary battery. What are you doing??
I'm using an auxiliary battery on my other cart and very happy with it.

Anything that keeps a power feed to radio memory is a parasitic drain in itself. Only way to stop that is getting a radio that has it's own internal capacitor to keep the memory. That or be content with no stored memory of station presets. I know at our campground there aren't many stations that will come in well anyway. Most just use Bluetooth off their phones to get their playlists.

You're right, the radio itself is a drain but I'm sure it's much less than a reducer idling to support that radio memory wire. I think I'll go the aux battery route again.
