EZGO forward/reverse issues
I have a 1978 ezgo gas cart. The cart recently died when I come to a complete stop and will not crank over. I noticed a clicking noise from the solenoid when pressing the gas and no cranking, so I replaced the solenoid. I noticed that the fuse in the reverse/forward control box keeps popping. Once I put it in gear it pops, I then open the fuse holder and can hear a pop sound and then place fuse back in and it works again sometimes. The fuse is good. The battery is new as well.

Also, the cart will run after it sits for awhile and you pull out and put back in the fuse. But once you then switch it to forward or review, it will blow the fuse again.

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. It will run for a while, the bad connection will heat up and increase electrical resistance, and get to a point where it won't function. Just my 2 cents. Hopefully someone will be along who has experienced and fixed this problem before.
