2005 ezgo hard to start

Have a 2005 ezgo, just recently when I press gas it makes a whirling noise and is slow to start and go. Just started this morning. Know nothing about gas carts. Any ideas of what my problem could be? Could it be battery?

Could your "whirling noise" be the starter spinning but the belt slipping? Take a look at the starter & belt as you try to start it (in neutral of course). May be as simple as adjusting the belt a little bit.

Nothing seems to be spinning. It’s like it would like to go but can’t quite get the punch to do it.

Nothing is moving, and making a whirling sound. Does it sound more like a high pitched EEEEEEEEEEE?

If so, that is the sound of the solenoid screaming. It is caused by a low battery.

It’s a high pitched EEEEEEEEE. I’ll put the charger on and see where I’m at. Thanks

was battery, high pitched eeee is gone and cart is running
