Default POT box help

I have a 95 club car ser#D9546 474625. Cart isn't moving at all. When you press the pedal only thing that happens is the solenoid clicks and the cart makes a slight humming sound. I've tested the motor by removing all wires and jumping A2 and S1 then hooked up 12v supply to S2 and grounded A1motor turns as it should so I know the motor is functional. Next I checked yellow wire at the controller I'm getting 2.4 ohms with pedal not pressed and OL as soon as I press the pedal. Just wanted input before I spent $250 on a conversion kit for the pot box. Thanks

I'm assuming this is a series car. You'll see a row of 3 small wires plugged into the controller. Should be Red, Green, Yellow. Un-plug the green and the yellow. Put the F&R switch in the forward position. With the multimeter set to 20k ohms, one lead of the meter in the green wire with the other lead of the meter in the yellow wire you should see 5000 ohms at zero throttle and 0 ohms at full throttle. If you're not getting these results, the potentiometer has failed and should be replaced with an AM293201 MCOR4 conversion kit.
