Middle lights of U-Box light bar

I just purchased a preowned EZ-Go 48V TXT. The lightbar has 4 middle LED lights out. The person stated that all of these bars have that and it had something to do with a blind spot which didn't make sense to me.

Has anyone here of light bars intentionally having the middle 4 or so lights out?

Yeah, they wasted money to install 4 LEDs in the middle, then not hook them up. That light bar is dead, and likelyhood of repair by the end user is slim. Usually the power supply portion fails, while the LEDs are OK. (That's how they get away with the "100,000 hour mtbf" claims, the LED itself will never wear out, its power supply died long ago).

So the installer never hooked the up or the manufacturer?

I bet the light bar has only 2 wires, that means they are "all on" or "all off". If you find a third wire coming out the back of the light bar, it may be so that they arent hooked up.

I'm betting you got a defective, or damaged light bar. They likely knew it was damaged, and told you anything to make the sale.

It looks like the lights that are out seem to flicker a bit. I tried to tap it but that did t change anything
