Default 2002 IQ slow after motor rebuild

Hi all,
I have a 2002 IQ and the motor was just rebuilt to replace bearings, brushes and do some cleaning(?) on the armature. Since then it has lost quite a noticeable amount of torque compared to before the rebuildand seems to be getting worse. It slows down really bad on hills. The OBC is set to 19.8 MPH, The batteries are 09 Interstate. Does anyone have any idea what happened. Thanks,Steve

You must mean the controller. The OBC controls charging. Did you make sure the brushes were all down and sitting on the commutator? What all did you do to the motor to clean it?

Hi,
Opps, I did mean the controller. The motor was rebuilt at a motor re builder that the repair shop sent it to, so I have no idea what they really did.

Most re-builders we recommend here , actually promise a increase in torque and speed for their rebuilds.
As little as $300.00 for the replacement motor and you old core.
Yank the motor out and have the re-builder look at it (hopefully has warranty) .
Roady, scottyb, Anyone , does the IQ speed info get reset when the motor is swapped out ???
