Question stock rims

I have a 96 CC with stock tires and rims 18x8.5x8 I don't want to add a lift but i would like to get bigger tires on the stock rims, does any body know what size i could go to without rubbing I plan on putting a backseat on with the heavy duty rear springs also.

Default Re: stock rims

Clearance depends on what condition the stock springs are in? My 1996 would rubb with any tire larger than 20"-22" and that was with stock new springs and NO REAR SEAT.
