Did you switch all four of cables on motor or just two of them?

If you swap either the S1/S2 cables or the A1/A2 cables, the motor will spin in a different direction than it did before, however if you swap both set it will continue to spin in same direction. It is the relative direction of current flow in the armature and stator windings that determines whether the motor output shaft spins in a CW or CCW direction.

So I switched 2. S1 and S2 no difference. Then switched all 4. I understand that is not correct so I will switch back and do S1 and A1. See what I get. NEW DEVELOPMENT... my son drove the cart today and tells me if you move the FnR switch a bit less then half way it goes normal speed. If you move it all the way it goes half speed. I check when I got home and sure enough forward and reverse it does it. I back to thinking this FnR switch may be my issue.

Try to see what micro switches on the FNR open or colse, and in what positions.
It seems that the half speed resistor, that cuts potentiometer signal by half, when it closes as the lever is moved to reverse, is not functioning accutrately.
This may be due to a worn and wobbly FNR...
