Where do you recommend I get the seal? Shop ezgo? I just don't want my new motor getting filled with crap.

Well I have to send my dcx400 back to Scotty. Maybe I can just get him to toss it in the box on he way back.

didn't mean to jack your thread,
let us know if you need some more help, and how things turn out , and take lots of pic of the change

When removing the motor, use two wrenches on the studs on the motor one under the cable to hold it, and the other to loosen the top nut on the cable, so it does not turn and break the wire inside the motor.

EDIT: I guess this info is a little late

I'm sure. He has had everything else I needed. Lol and your information is not too late. I don't think anybody is up at this time pulling a motor on there cart.

I went back and reread his thread, and he already removed the motor, because he is saying that he can't get the input shaft out

Yep. Motor is off. I vise gripped the male 19 spline and tugged a little until I thought I might gall the splines. Then I got a round pry bar with a flat, curved 3/4" pry end and hooked it in the groove of the shaft and leveraged against the differential where the motor bolts to. I pried a few times and no luck.
I hear what you guys are saying, so I'll just keep trying I suppose. FYI...I know I may be taking a chance by leveraging this way, but I don't care if I crack the differential housing as I don't need it anyway.
