What igniter do I need for a G2?

I have a Yamaha G2 and it has been recommended to change the igniter.
I have seen some You Tube videos indicating the igniter is the same as the G9 . Are they interchangeable?

Recommendations on where to order one would also be appreciated.

From personal experience, Buy the OEM part only. If it is less than $300 its a junk chinese aftermarket part and not worth the box its shipped in.

If $300 is too much and you cant find a good used one (check the buy/sell forum here) HEI conversion is a better alternative than the chinese junk.

Yes, and you will have to rerun some wires but yes it will work and it will help if you have the G9 igniter plug-in to wire thing's back in.

If you dont have the G9 plug, 3M insulated female spade connectors will fit nicely on the ignitor terminals.
