Default Setting G1 Carb Float???

Can anyone tell me the proper way to set the carb float??? I am going to take the carb a part tomorrow and clean it and wanted to make sure the float was adjusted to the right level before I put it back together. Thanks..

G1's have a metal tab on the float. There will be a tab that goes down toward the carb housing and should be at 90 degrees. Then there is a tab that the needle rests against. Adjust the needle tab so when the float hanges down, you can blow thru the fuel inlet and hear air, now while blowing into the inlet push up on the float and when it reaches the point of being "level" were the float bowel seats , the fuel inlet should be closed (no air can get thru), you can use a small screw driver to bend the tab were the needle hits to make an adjustment. This is done with the carb held like it would mount on the engine. Hope this helped. Dave

Great info... Sounds easy enough to me. Thanks a lot for the "step by step" directions
