Default Date of Manufacture

Hello All,

I am considering the purchse of a used Club Car. How can I determine the date of manufacturer? The seller does not know but thinks it was built in the 1990's. Is it an electric 48V.

Any help is appreciated.

Serial Number Example:

AG9123-005525

AG=gas cart
91=1991 model year
23=week of manufacture

Electric carts will have a different prefix than AG.

Where should the Serial # be located or does it change depending upon the year?

Under the passenger side glove compartment right to the left of the cupholder.

Or you could take the entire front body off and take a gander at the middle member support for the cowl mount.

if you can get a 96 for a little more, I would, 95 cars shouldnt have the motor access panel, and the controller/computers are a pain to work on...
