reverse beeper
Can I simply unplug the reverse buzzer on my 86 ezgo?

yes , you can unplug the reverse alarm and nothing else will be affected , what I did was install a toggle switch next to the shifter and can turn the alarm on or off

It's there for safety reasons, alot of people wrap the buzzer with electrical tale to lower the sound level.

muffle that rascle with some tape. disconnect it and there WILL be an accident. I had mine unplugged for about 2 weeks then someone (me) thought they were in reverse until I smashed a parts bin in the shop. They are annoying but there is a reason.

Trash that dang thing! Just pay attention to what gear you are in. My truck doesnt beep at me to tell me that i am in reverse, i just know! That is put on there so E-Z-GO didnt get sued when someone hit something. Again, it is all up to you!
