ok, rewiring done and still nothing.. he printed off some info he found on here and we are going to test to see if the points are working. If not I guess we will be off to replace those next. I am starting to feel Dave Box's pain of expensive 83 cart. lol.. but if we can at least get it running it will be worth it all right?

ok........dumb question?? anyway to take fan off without pulling entire motor? I really would like to avoid that if possible. lol

ok.. took engine out today to replace points and condenser.. found out to screws that hold points in are laying in there.. vibrated out?? anyway.. got new brushes for starter/generator too.. so will be doing that soon..so right now she sits in the garage.. motor next to her waiting to run again some day! lol

These carts can be a real bear to get right, but once you do you won't regret the time spent working on it!

Thanks! I appreciate the support. It's been a pain. I did get all 4 rusty slightly stripped screws out of my starter brushes with no problems so that was a plus. Waiting for hubby to have some time to help my pull flywheel off to get to points and condensor. Parts should be in tmrw. I went ahead and bought a new coil too. Figured that's couldn't hurt.lol
