Re: Yamaha G29 48v Troubleshooting???
You can check the microswitch in the throttle but it should still beep in reverse and resist pushing if that switch is not closing. Not sure what it does if it's stuck closed. Since you tried swapping controllers, you can rule that out. The controller controls the beeper in reverse. Check the accelerator switch and make sure it is opening when the pedal is up and closing when you push it down. It has battery voltage on it when the key is on. The other side goes right to the controller connector.

Re: Yamaha G29 48v Troubleshooting???
Really seemed like it was a controller issue, but you say that's been changed.
Obviously the system is not powering up, as stated, no reverse buzzer which the controller controls. Seems as though you have checked the power up circuits. The sudden cart failure would point towards controller too. Id look for a corroded or pulled wire as at this point its an odd ball failure. |

How do you properly test the accelerator switch?

Re: Yamaha G29 48v Troubleshooting???
If pushing the cart (tow/run on) has no effect like beeping reverse buzzer, solenoid click & resistance to moving, the pedal switch is not the problem. Pedal switch should have 48v on one wire when pedal up, 48v on both wires when pedal down (tested with key on). Or could Unplug switch & ohm its plug, will be "ol" (no connection) when pedal up, near zero ohms when pedal pressed.

Re: Yamaha G29 48v Troubleshooting???
I think I got mine from a Yamaha website. It is in the manual that comes with the cart.

Re: Yamaha G29 48v Troubleshooting???
Okay I got another controller because it was believed the the fsip was faulty and I finally got a click and it moved a little so I started clearing all the tools out to drive it,go lt on and pressed the pedal and nothing, the solenoid clicks once when you flip the toe run switch and there is constant power running through solenoid and after a while the solenoid gets really warm, still no resistance or click when you push it and still no reverse buzzer, it seems like I've tested everything and still nothing

I’m having this same issue. Contactor on all the time, gets warm. What was the outcome?
