Default 2002 G19 Project cart

S#JR1-60 The guy I bought it from said 2000. I am pretty sure the Serial number is a 2002. Paid $700 has a 6 year old set (0%) T-875 Have them on my Lester charger now to hopefully get them back up to a charge, but assuming I will be replacing them.

I bought it under the notion that it does not run. I felt it was still a good deal at $700.

The reverse beeper came on at 0% charge. It did not have a charge he said they lost it....hoping batteries went dead and just fooled them into dumping the cart.

What are some common issues to check on Yamaha's. I have an EZGO 1996 TXT I controverted to 48V and redid all components and going to build this one for my father in law. Just starting the thread to gain some traction and interest as I tear into it this weekend.

Are there any tricks like the freedom switch to increase speed on a G19?

Stock motor will deliver 24mph with a alltrax controller, but keep the max amps set fairly low to avoid hurting the stock motor.

Thanks for the info! I have somewhat of a charge on the batteries. I get a reverse buzzer, but no click when I turn the key or when I switch from F/R. Thinking it may be in the solenoid, or the f/r switch.

I will get the batteries up to a descent charge and test with the meter. Is there an easy test procedure for the solenoid and F/R Switch

I put a 300A Alltrax and with the stock motor, batteries, roof removed, 20” tires. It pulled 28 mph!!!

Do I need to turn something down on the Alltrax to protect the motor. I could not believe how fast it was when I got here running.

300a rating of your controller is pretty safe. Not sure exactly what to cap the rpm's at, but I am sure that above 6000 is in risky territory.
