Switching tires

I want to switch tires from the knobby ones on my 2008 RXV to something that gives a smoother ride on the highway. The current ones are 23X10.5-12. When ordering new ones is that all the dimensions I need to provide? Something I don't understand is offset. Is that relevant in this case?

offset is relevant to rims. If you are just switching tires then no need to worry about offset.
