Ok, I checked voltages, got high nines and almost 6. I had to reset park brake release cam and lengthen plunger to get gap down to 17/64. Brakes set easier and release better,,, but still takes off like you slammed footfeed all the way down.
am going to call Alltrax

Solution. I called Alltrax, a tech answered(!) the phone. I told him my sad story. I thought it strange the first thing he said was "do you have the motor- connected to the B-?" Then he sent me a diag sheet to test diodes on power circuit. I took the sheet to the shop, and was unhooking the wires to let the controller bleed down for 5 minutes, when I actually looked at the cables and what the heck, I had the motor- on the B-!!!! Now I know why the tech first asked about that. Alltrax moved the physical locations of the two lugs from the stock locations. I had been testing my controllers to see which ones were good and failed to notice the Alltrax was not the same. Oh well, maybe someone will read this and save themselves some time.

You are not the first one to make that error but it didn't ring a bell for me yet. That is why we call Alltrax. They have 1-2 techs on call 5 days a week who see 100 calls a day
Glad it was an easy fix
