Key shut off
On my cart I have installed headlights, fog lights, radio and brake and turn signals. I had an issue with the brake lights staying on when the parking brake was locked on and keeping the brake lights illuminated.
(I know there are alternate ways to wire up a brake switch but the way I did it seemed to be the easiest.) Anyway I wired in a 48v relay to the key switch wire and used it to control the 12v system in my cart. Works like a champ. Now when I turn off the switch all the 12v accessories turn off as well. Fairly easy mod that was accomplished in about 45mins. Second time around would probably take 20mins. I used the relay that Sergio had listed in the go fast button thread or field weakening thread, don't remember which. |
