Default Cart takes several pedal presses and on/off to move

Another lovely issue with my 2000 EZGO txt

The last two days, it's taken several pedal presses and on/off switches of the key to get the cart moving.

It's like the brakes are locked - you can't even move the cart manually or roll it.

When the gas pedal is depressed, it will disengage the parking brake but it will not move the cart or FWD or REV.

When in REV without moving it still beeps just fine.

is it the throttle sensor under the rubber carpet? or since the brakes are 'locked' is it something with the charging receptacle?

throttle sensor is under the rubber carpet
charging receptacle has nothing to do with brakes
some carts have a roll away feature which stops cart rolling back ward on a hill
carts have a manual brake system
place cart on jack stands see if you can move wheels
if not remove wheels and hubs , check brakes

It's not the brakes themselves. When the gas pedal is depressed it will disengage the brake and it flips up properly, but the cart doesnt move.

It also only does this when 'cold'. After getting it going and using the cart for awhile it wont do it again for the day.

It's still worth at least checking the brakes. The pedal on those EZGO's is kind of spring loaded: Just because the pedal popped up doesn't necessarily mean the cables and/or shoes have released completely. Just a thought
