Default Found my steering float

So I found where at least some of the float/slop in my steering is coming from. I'm not sure what this would technically be called, but it bolts onto the spindle and the steering tie rod. When the steering wheel turns there is free play before the front wheels change direction. The nuts are tight. Any thoughts? Should I weld it?

I am guessing you are going to find slop somewhere else.......HOWEVER, are you saying that you can actually see movement between the extension and the actual steering arm? as you can see slop between the two pieces?

BTW those are the steering arm extensions, which came as part of your lift kit. if you weld the two together, it won't cause any issues, other than, if you decide to drop your cart or change the amount of lift you have, you will need to buy a set of new spindles.

Correct, there is slop between the spindle and extension. I'd say quite a bit. The tie rod ends need replacing as well.

well it wouldn't hurt to weld the extensions to the arms as I mentioned before.

Thanks, I'll probably do that this winter when I'm looking for an indoor project.
