when I take off it feels like it goes to wide open throttle
When I start off with my cart slowly push down on the pedal it feels like it goes to wide open then immediately will slow to speed that the petal is set at. I have checked all the connections on the controller and F/R switch

Sounds like you have a 0-5000 ohm setting in a ITS system. What you describe is basically a mismatch between the cart and the controller setting. Some controllers have many selectable throttle settings.

You do have the sr controller. When it powers up how many green blinks do you get? May need to put it on jack stands first or just hook up your computer and see what your throttle is set to.

finally got off work long enough to check out my cart. what i found was the box that the ITS and switch was in was full of water. so i got it dried out and it works great now. thanks for the input
