Holding brake and gas pedal down at same time getting burning smell
A customer is loading an ez go electric cart on a 7 ft tilt trailer. While holding the brake and gas pedal down at the same time for about 2 minutes or so he started to smell something burning. He got the cart home and went riding and saids its still has a burning smell and one of the wires is really hot! Wondering if he burned the wire going to the solenoid

Had a customer's kids do the same thing and the motor was cooked. Likely the motor is compromised (damaged), or the speed controller, or the solenoid, or the cables .... or all the above. There is nothing worse he could do than hold the motor in a stall condition.

Why would someone hold the brake and gas at the same time for 2 minutes? Sure things are gonna get hot. I would suspect any part. Look and smell where it's coming from.

Customer told me he let the kids load the cart in the trailer (truck?) and the charge was low so the cart would not make the ramp and the brakes were weak so they would not hold the cart so the scared kid sat there with the brake and gas on until the motor went up in smoke.
