Default Identify my ezgo controller

Hey guys...I have a late 1990's ezgo and trying to identify what # controller I have. I am pretty sure it is a Curtis, just not sure what model...

It has 4 large lugs and 5 total control lugs..

The 4 large are marked A2 B+ B- M-

white plug...small wires 4 together and one to the left side of plug...

I thought it was a 1206 but they only have 3 large lugs...

any help to identify would be appreciated. I may need one if anyone has one laying around after an upgrade..

Thanks Bill

Does it look like this? An older version of 1206 with four large blades.

You should be aware that the A2 blade on this controller is not required and EzGo eliminated it on later versions. You can actually remove the wire between A2 and the F/R switch and your controller will work the same. Before you replace the controller, however, are you sure it is defective?

Cool Re: Identify my ezgo controller

I feel pretty sure it is the controller...but like JohnnieB said years ago, I cant be 100% about anything...lol...

The cart will go about 100 feet and stop...clicked but would not move...wait a couple hours, it would move again a short distance and do the same thing..I did notice the wire from m- to motor was warm...

I ran test using material from here...test results says controller or ITS...check ITS testing wire 1 and 2... don't have my results with me at this second but the results were .5 on one wire to 1.5 when pressed and 14.2 on the other wire which according to the test was correct...

After that when testing the controller...m- and B+ has pack voltage when clicked but nothing when you press the pedal....the other test either had voltage or didn't have voltage (cant remember which)...So, I feel sure it is the controller....however, I will be more than glad to do any other test if necessary.....

I am look for a controller...just not looking to put a lot in an old golf cart...

I do have a 1206MX I took off my other working cart that the frame broke in half for sale or trade for a older 1206....

Thanks Bill

OK, I suspect your problem is not the controller. I will send you a PM with contact info so we can talk about how to identify the problem.
