From what I've read on the forum, Trojan and Crown are the two best.

The Crown CR190s (8v) in my TXT started their 7th year last Feb. Still will run the cart 20 miles in optimum conditions. Always pavement. Were on a GenIII DPI charger since new 'till last summer when it crapped out. Been on a Lester Summit II since then. (Atlanta area environment)

YMMV

My CR165 batteries are just shy of 6 years old and while they are not what they once were they are still doing quite well considering that where we live is nothing but hills...

Love crown batteries. I have been selling and using these for the past 10 or 12 years.
The CR190 is maybe the best 8v battery on the market.
Buy with confidence.

DITTO ON THE CROWN BATTERIES! They also have double posts for those whose posts melt because they let terminals get loose or corroded (should not ever happen, but it does).

FWIW: The high amp cables can have their own terminal and the lesser amp wires from charger port, to voltage reducer and voltmeter ETC. can be landed on the other terminals using battery post adapters. (Something like these: https://www.amazon.com/Schumacher-BA...s%2C159&sr=8-9)

Mmmm, my Crowns don't have double posts. These were manufactured in Nov 2013. Maybe the newer models have them or models other than the CR 190s.
