Re: Help Identifying Shuttle Year
Batteries are 4/18. Rectangular brick is the controller with the solenoid attached to the front. Last picture is indeed the FnR

Re: Help Identifying Shuttle Year
Bottom picture is the directional switch. The middle two pictures are the controller and the thing behind the controller is the solenoid.
So here is the good news. Frequently these shuttles came with upgraded electronics and yours is one of them. The controller you have is 400amp vs the 275amp in fleet carts and you have a much better solenoid also. If I am reading the label correctly you also have an upgraded motor. 1.87KW vs 1.49KW in series fleet carts. Mine was equipped the same. Under optimum conditions, your cart should reach 17mph vs the 12-14mph of the series fleet carts. Optimum conditions means the cart will perform as new so, healthy batteries, correct tire pressure, no malfunctions like dragging brakes or corrosion in wires etc. Also, from what we can see in the pics, the frame looks very clean for its age and hint at a cart in very good condition. You alluded to defects in the body but it can be painted or replaced fairly easily even by a diyer. Also the new style TXT bodies should fit right on it if you wanted to modernize the look. Here's the bad news. Well not much really but it depends on your intended use assuming you are going to keep it. The controller will tolerate a high performance motor but not 48v. Series carts are the most expensive to upgrade to 48v. |

This cart is strictly for cruising the neighborhood with my kids at this point. At one time I wanted to lift it and put bigger rims and tires but at this point I just want a comfortable cruiser. Maybe one day I will do all that. I need to replace the rear leaf springs, need to research that more. Also I am going to add some aftermarket wheels and tires, probably a 12" rim and street tires. Have to research that some more as well. I don't want to create any performance issues with my cart since I am new to this world lol. Thanks again |
