So I pulled er apart and it looks like it fried about 7 of the small resistors on the lower board on the outsides ,and 1 black chip .I posted some pics in the attatch files below ,because I am not smart enough to figure out how to put them here .I know I am asking alot but does anyone know if the resistors and the black chip are available

the resistors you can get from radioshack. I blew the same resistors. Make sure you get the same size resistors.

Right on ,so the small black chip that has the three prongs that is screwed in ,is that a resistor also ?

Clean the soot off of them and get the part numbers. On the small ones note the colors and order of the bands.

EDITED* The small "black chip" is a MOSFET and the silver one is a Diode. You wont find those without buying them by the thousands. ( unless your real lucky) Trust me. I have been saving those fets and diodes out of blown controllers for a few years. Its a basturd reverse polarity diode. Not any reverse polarity diode will do either. Its reverse polarity and the leg orientation is reversed too. The only one who uses them is Curtis. (as far as I know. Thats all I have ever seen.)

There is one company who makes one thats "similar" but they are an oriental company....I've never had them return any emails.

Some people have twisted the legs to get the proper orientation.....I do know one thing....when you fill a 5 gallon bucket up full of burnt semi's then you might be ready to rebuild one and it work right. Great wise man once told me that...he builds controllers.

I was wondering when Roady would find this thread! Allied didn't have the Mosfets?

Well I guess since I have two blown controllers mine and my buddys, I should be able to remove some of the mosfets from one to at least fix one of them don't you think ?

if there are enough of them, and they are good then you should have no problems.

Thats the key phrase.

Why did they burn in the first place?......... You can replace them but unless you happen to replace the component that originally failed and started the chain reaction of component failure your pissing in the wind so to speak. You need to find the EXACT resistor value and replace with EXACT value replacements. You need to look at the FETS closely...there may be some cracked and you dont see it. If they are cracked they are toast too. Do a diode check but that wont tell you if there is any leakage at higher amperage. Diode failure will cause that damage. It's not as easy as "simply replacing the burnt" parts but you can try.

You have diodes, MOSFETS and resistors burnt from what I can see. There is more than 1 fet fried. You may not see it but there is probly more.

Good luck and post more pics.
