Caution! Nut B in the diagram sets the rotary contact tension. Failure to maintain sufficient contact pressure will result in failure and total loss of the F&R switch.
Any user adjustment on my EZ575 or EZ585 voids any warranty.

As mentioned earlier there is a break in period after which the F&R will get easier to operate. However, this switch is harder to switch than the original because it is stuffed full of heavier parts and your old switch probably had 20 yrs of shifting on it.
Each F&R is set up by me for tension and contact, then tested before shipped. Each switch is within an acceptable range of physical pressure required for operation. You may apply grease to the many other parts of the shift linkage to ease operation.

STOP SHOUTING. Gas and electric series FNRs are different, AND this post is over two years old.
