As it was I was at 19 mph according to the local radar traps. We will see what the increase is.

The dealer called after he got the cart and asked if all I wanted was the controlled upgrade. I asked if the setting was set to Freedom I? He said "Not even that" whatever that means.

So I am hoping to see a good performance increase. I got 12 X 23s also.

Should be back tomorrow.

Mine would do 19 with the stock wheels and tires . I had the dealer come out to my house and we tried every setting they offered to see if the slower speeds would increase torque ect...sadly, none of them made a difference from 1-3 mph

My dealer is talking a good show. Saying I will see a marked increase, and the price is right as I am paying only the pickup and delivery fee ($60). As they say, the proof is in the pudding.

Ok, cart just delivered.

Before: Speed Radar signs in neighborhood would show steady 18 flashing up to 19 mph. Fairly steep hill to my house would pull the cart down some (quite a bit in cold weather).

After: Speed Radar signs showing a steady 25 flashing upto 26 mph. I might see a little reduction in speed pulling the hill, but if any it is small.

Not to get caught up in the accuracy of the radar signs, it is still an improvement of around 38% in speed. With nothing more than a controller upgrade.

I haven't had time to check the torque response on rocks and curbs, heat on motor, cables, etc. Judging from the acceleration from a dead stop I don't believe the torque will be significantly worse. I will check on it later and report. It's 43 deg here so I just took a quick trip.

Invoice shows a Freedom Speed 2 upgrade ($64.95).

I don't believe the low end torque will be any better. The dealer said as much, but I was more interested in an increase in speed without a markable decrease in low end torque. I think I got that. Now I'm even with Lococummins.

I have stock wheels/tires on my 09 RXV. my phone gps says 14mph. I've called around to crank up my controller. some are stupid high. cheapest I've found if I take the cart in is $25. they'll make it go 19mph on stock setup. This must be what you are calling Freedom II setting. It isn't replacing anything, just raising the electronic limiter. Cheapest I've found for someone to come to me and do it is $125... ouch...

On another note, I've heard 21 inches is the biggest tire you can do without raising the cart. Sound right to you guys?
