Yamaha gas G14 jerking bad at slow speeds
I recently traded up to a Yamaha g14 gas cart. I have done a ton of work to the cart, but one problem persists. I recently put a new secondary clutch on, and the cart ran great. I then took the governor off, replaced the fuel pump, filter, throttle cable from pedal to carb, but now the cart jerks really bad when letting off the accelerator. It also has a grinding sound when I let off the gas. Not sure if it’s the secondary clutch again? That thing is only a few months old so I would hope it didn’t go bad that quick. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Re: Yamaha gas G14 jerking bad at slow speeds
Its always tough when trying to help with questions like this because once a car has been modified this much, you never really know whats going on from a few lines of text.
But its also frustrating to ask a question and not get any responses so here goes. Is the primary or secondary clutch hanging up? Does it have the correct drive belt? This would explain the jerkiness but not the grinding. |
