I found a good use for the cart back firing. I have two dogs that use to go crazy when they hear firecrackers, gunfire, or thunder. After riding in my cart that sometimes back fires they seem to have associated the back fire with pleasure. Now when they hear loud bangs and it does not bother them at all.

Old gas, carb jets dirty have been the common problems especially for the backfiring.

thanx but i cant find it there. The cable that goes from the gas pedal to the carberator is the throttle cable or the accelerator cable? it seems that it broke of from the plate and now its to short to put in thehole.
