G14 clutch question
ok so here is my question. I have been working on this G14 I picked up last week I did adjust the governor, didn't touch anything else. my question is it seems like its moving forward as its turning over to start. there is no free play or anything is this normal. I have a can am commander 1000 and it will start idle etc there has to be a rpm change for the cvt to engage. I know that my cart isn't supposed to idle but I wasn't sure about the moving while it starts. am I supposed to adjust something else along with the 10mm nut or are these 2 things totally unrelated. I was thinking the primary or secondary were not disengaging all the way. and that's why im getting the movement at start up.

Re: G14 clutch question
Try greasing the primary and secondary clutches. Put no more than one or two pumps on the secondary. It's advised to do only one or two on the primary too, but I did about 4-5 on mine. The concern is over greasing and grease getting all over the belt.
