How can I tell if this free cart is worth rebuilding?
I recently acquired a 2006 DS 48v cart. It is well used. Has no batteries. Some of the battery cable leads are corroded off but the rest of the cart seems intact.
How can I tell if the motor is any good? And what other parts should I check before deciding if the cart is worth my time and money to rehab? Just looking for some general guidance. Thank you. |

If it was free. And it is a DS. And the frame is good. It is worth fixing.

There are 2 types of motors. Does the cart have a run/tow switch under the seat?

Is it a "Carryall" or a regular cart with a dump body on the back? Most regular carts don't have a "dump" body.
