I noticed something interesting today, when I check the voltage from the positive to neg across I get 42V now.

Individually I get 8.2.

Check the battery in your volt meter.

If the converted stopped functioning would this cause the ignition to stop working? Would it be a worth while activity to bypass the converter and wire directly from the battery?

As an update, the reverse signal is no longer making any noise. Does this point to a controller issue?

I would suggest that you completely remove that 48-12v converter and see if your problems go away.

1. Bypassed the reducer. Lights turned on for a second and then turned off. They would not turn back on. Fuse is still okay.

2. I must have tested the reverse buzz in tow mode, I was mistaken - this still works.
