I don't have a pic of the back of the meter, but I'm confident it read 48V. It could be a 36v and that is why it isn't reading a drop. I am fine with buying a new one that shows volts, but would like to find one that will fit in the same hole or a little bigger.

I check the batteries every couple of weeks. I keep 2 gallons of distilled water on hand. Thanks

Since You said you are new to electric golf carts, make sure You only add water to the batteries after a full charge.

The only time you should ever add water to a discharged battery is if the plates are exposed and then only add enough water to cover the plates by about 1/4".

So have you already done a full charge after that meter was installed?

Hi Sergio, thanks for the tips. Yes, I've charged the cart multiple times since installing the meter. It just sits at full.

Does any one know if the cut outs for these two meters are the same size? I have the bar one and want to replace it with a digital meter. Would like to find one the same size or slightly larger to use the same hole.

I think they are close, you can take the ditigal and make a plate for it and mount where the bar meter hole is. Takes a little work.

getting one too but unfortunately the bar gauge I have is round and I could not find a round 48V anywhere except straight from china. I got a square 36V and it's been flawless for many years now.
