Default 12V Accessory Battery

Hello all, its been a while since my last post, when I did my conversion. Its time to replace my 12v acc battery. I put a nice 12V AGM West Marine Battery when I did the conversion back 5 years ago, of course they have gone up and are crazy $$. Anyone recommend a similar battery? I guess I would need to go with a sealed batt, Any info is greatly appreciated. (yes, I have an onboard 12v charger mounted)

thanks

Does it have to be sealed? Advance Auto has their 12V marine batteries that aren't too $$$ if you use one of their easily found online coupon codes.

https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...Marine+battery

There's a 20% coupon you can apply also.

Thank you...since its not technically for cranking, what CCA is recommended? I guess higher the better? for long uses (Headlights and radio)

Thanks

Yes, the higher the better I would assume.

While a high CCA is a desirable side effect, what You need to look for in an accessory battery is the highest number of minutes in the "Reserve Capacity" specifications.

That is how long that battery can deliver 25 amps before it is dead.
