Wholesale source for Club Car golf course carts
Don't know where to ask this so I'll just throw it out here. I've been thinking of starting a used cart business. I am retired and have enough room in my shop to hold 12 to 15 carts. I'm looking for a source to by maybe 10 carts at a time that are golf course trade-ins or off lease that I can clean up an refurbish as needed and sell for a profit. I've found a couple of sources online that say they are wholesale but when look at their pricing I don't see much opportunity to turn a profit based on what used carts sell for around me. Is there a way to buy direct from a leasing company or country club? Or, am I out in left field with this idea?

Re: Wholesale source for Club Car golf course carts
You hit it correctly. There are many companies out there that handle the lease returns for manufacturers. I believe it was several years ago when the dealers had to start handling their own leases so they either got what was returned or had a 3rd party to take them.
Try contacting some of the big ones and inquiring, but remember that a lot of others are doing this now so the cart resale industry has became a big market.... |
