Default Testing a Reagan Motor

I have a Club Cart and has a Reagan motor. What is the procedure on testing the motor to make sure it works. I am looking for the connect power to see if it turns. I find a lot on the internet and all seem to have the series motor test but not the Reagan. Thanks

Here you go. Note that the motor needs to be connected to the cart and on blocks/jack stands. Use two 8V batteries.

Will a 12 volt battery work or does it need to be 18

Yes, 12v is sufficient for testing purposes.

I have a bad motor, recommendations on where to get one. I have looked at a kit from Golf Kart King, motor, controller and solenoid. It is an upgrade 22 mph and 30% mote torque. This is a farm cart up hills and dont need alot of speed.

Talk to David Hicks at Revolution Golf Cars. He can get you the right setup with what you need for torque without overdoing the speed.
