Charging on 2003 Pathway
Just bought a 2003 Pathway. has been on charger for about 19 hrs.-shows 59 volts with meter -charger reading 5 amps. batteries are bubbling ,but not boiling over. Cart had not been charged by previous owner for 1 1/2 months. Is all of this normal or is there a problem? Should charger shut off at some point? When should I consider ending charge process ?

Re: Charging on 2003 Pathway
Stop it now. It should have turned off after 16 hours on a "Time-Out". It must see 58.3 volts to shut down at time-out. Go ahead and drive it around, then when you get back, disconnect the main pack negative for 20-30 minutes to reset the OBC and then reconnect the charger again and see if it shuts off automatically.
